Animal Inspector

SPCA Animal Inspector needed to investigate Cruelty Complaints and handle Animal Rescue Work related to stray animals, pets, pet shops, municipal pounds and zoos.

Requirements:

·        Active Malaysian, age 30 years or older

Minimum diploma qualification

·        Interested in animal welfare, and well-versed with local animal welfare issues

·        Skilled animal handler

·        Willing to work odd hours/ weekends when required

·        A good communicator (spoken and written) in English and BM, and preferably one Chinese dialect

·        Possess a valid driving licence

Able to work independently, and as part of a team

Remuneration based on qualifications, experience and capabilities.

Humane Education Officer

SPCA Humane Education officer needed to conduct educational activities on animal welfare, engage municipal councils in humane stray control methods, and facilitate community-based neutering program MissionHELP.

Requirements :

·        Malaysian aged 25 – 40

·        Must possess a diploma or degree in a related discipline

·        Prior teaching experience preferable

·        Must have an interest in teaching/ presenting on concepts in animal welfare, as well as develop lesson plans and educational materials for all demographics

·        Able to write and speak fluently in Bahasa Malaysia and English

·        Must possess own vehicle and valid drivers licence

·        Willing to work weekends when required

·        Remuneration based on qualifications, experience and capabilities.
